Immigration DNA Testing

ScreenSafe UK offers a variety of DNA testing services to prove biological ties to UK citizens who are sponsoring their immigration to the UK.

Under section 20 of the Family Law Reform Act 1969, in civil proceedings, courts have a statutory power to direct a scientific test to ascertain the parentage of a child (but section 20 directions are not given in every case where parentage is an issue). If the court makes such a 'section 20 direction', they must choose a tester from a list of accredited bodies.

Our DNA laboratory services has been accredited by the Ministry of Justice as a body that may carry out parentage tests directed by the civil courts in England and Wales under Section 20 of the Family Law Reform Act 1969.

Our dedicated Immigration Department works closely with immigration solicitors and their clients and is very familiar with different agencies' and countries' immigration policies and guidelines.

ScreenSafe UK's laboratory services are ISO-certified for laboratory excellence according to the ISO/IEC 17025 standards. Our paternity tests and other family relationship tests produce 100% accurate results that routinely exceed the immigration DNA testing requirements of not only different countries, but also satisfy the requirements of Entry Clearance Officers (ECOs) at the British High Commission, British Embassies, and the Immigration and Nationality Directorate (IND).
