The team at ScreenSafe have years of experience of working with teams who monitor and supervise offenders and have also experienced testing in prisons through the Integrated Drug Treatment System. We have worked with Prolific and Priority Offender teams and have experience of some of the different hand held devices which may be applicable at the roadside. This experience allows us to quickly check the requirements of a service against our product range and recommend the right devices for you. Usually in these areas, testing needs to be quick, reliable and able to be legally defensible should the need arise. It also needs to be correctly carried out, so sample collectors should be trained to a level of confidence and competency.

Police/Custody/PPO's

For most custodial applications, an oral fluid sample may be more convenient to collect than a urine sample, although we offer both. Our oral fluid devices are capable of testing for a required panel of drugs - from maybe two drugs, as necessary in particular targeted testing environments, up to a panel of multiple required drugs.

Prisons

For prison testing we have point of care (instant) urine kits in cup or dip format. As above, we also have oral fluid point of care devices that may be useful in voluntary or IDTS prison testing where urine is not mandatory. Also applicable to prison testing may be our new point of care (instant) Blood Borne Virus test cassettes. These can test for Hepatitis C Antibody, Hepatitis B surface Antibody and surface Antigen, and HIV 1/2/O. They are a cartridge design that is able to analyse a sample from a finger prick of blood and give a screen result within minutes. This is a fast, cost efficient way of screening a large population, ensuring only those who really need it are referred for more detailed investigation.
